Craig began his insurance career in 1967 while working for Metropolitan Life Insurance, now known as MetLife, in advisor and management roles for 12 years. After leaving Metropolitan Life, he joined Rodgers & Cummings insurance and real estate firm to work for Jim Harper.
During his 50 years in the insurance industry, Craig has developed a loyal clientele, and works currently with Harper Insurance Group as an insurance advisor. He specializes in property management companies and various product manufacturers.
Jim has been an Insurance Professional for over 40 years. After graduating from the University of Florida he went to work for State Farm Insurance Company in Bradenton, Fl.. Wanting to grow in the industry, he accepted a position with C. B. Arbogast Insurance in Stuart, Fl. He began as a Commercial Lines Producer Trainee and over a 5 year period, advanced to Managing Partner and majority shareholder.
To advance his career he sold his interest and joined longtime friend, Richard W. Cope, in purchasing a small, but well regarded Insurance and Real Estate firm, Rodgers & Cummings, in Clearwater, Fl. Jim and Rich grew the firm to one of the largest agencies on the Florida West Coast. Jim and his business partner realized banks were going to be in the insurance business, but were 50 years ahead of their time. Consequently they sold 80% of their company to Merrill Lynch & Co. At the time, Jim was President of Merrill Lynch's property and casualty insurance division, and after working for Merrill Lynch for 6 years, he bought the division from them. He sold all branches, but kept the main office located in Clearwater, Fl, formerly known as Acordia SE. Years later in 2001 Acordia SE was sold to Wells Fargo Bank.
Jim retired from Wells Fargo and is now an Insurance Consultant for several of his former clients. He also works as an agency consultant for Harper Insurance Group.
